What is the booking process and do you travel?
After filling out my contact form and determining if the date is available still, we chat a little to see if we’d be a good fit. Once we talk details, I send over a contract for you to sign along with an invoice. There is a retainer due at booking to hold your post. This fee covers all communications, planning and taking the date off the calendar so I turn other clients away. Because of this, the retainer is non-refundable. Weddings are a 30% retainer and all other session types 50% retainer amount. The retainer is not a separate fee and comes out of the session cost. There is a small discount if you wish to pay in full at booking.
Yes! I service all of Virginia and DC. I do charge a small travel fee for sessions outside of a particular distance from my studio but most of the time, if I haven’t shot there before- I will travel at no cost.
Do you have a studio?
I do have a very small (but mighty) studio that is equipped with dresses, props, outfits, backdrops, etc.
I am able to accommodate most session types out of it with no issue and my clients always gush at how cute and cozy it is.
However, it is not a full-blown studio therefore I do not have a kitchen or bathroom yet. I do provide snacks and drinks for clients. I also have a couch, blankets, many outlets for entertainment.

I work alone for all session types except wedding.
I am very authentic in the way I shoot and pose. I like the story as it unfolds throughout the day/session. I will offer poses but really enjoy the documentary style photography where I shoot as I go- without any prompting or forced smiles. My portfolio reflects a very true to tone style with some added boldness/warmth.
